Reunion attended by over 200 people
Royes Family International
Allow me this opportunity to thank everyone who attended the Royes Reunion #7 at the Starfish resort in Trelawny, Jamaica, July 2009. Those of you there would agree that it truly was a wonderful exciting event attended by over 200 people. I thank the family, officers and staff who served from 2007 to 2009, and welcome the re-elected along with newly elected officers for the 2009 to 2011 term. In our slogan, `Deeper Roots, Wider Branches’, there is a challenging agenda of objectives to be achieved that our team will be working on as the Royes family continues to grow. Your individual region leaders will be contacting you to receive your support on the voted annual pledge of $25 per household. In addition, we need your immediate input as we work to update accurately the family directory. Soon thereafter, your involvement will be requested as we develop a complete Royes Family Tree. We are delighted to announce that Royes Family Reunion #8 was voted on to be delivered by the Central America Region, with Gilberto (Bambi) Rodriguez as the new Region Leader. Currently, potential sites in Panama City are under consideration, with a decision and announcement forthcoming. The Reunion is scheduled for July 28, 2011, through July 31, 2011. Please mark your calendars. We are looking forward to this being a great time, and our best Reunion! Thank you in advance for your support. |

Royes Family Scholarship Our First Royes Family Scholarship was sponsored by Dolores and Philip Royes.
We are very pleased to announce that the first Royes Family Scholarship was awarded to four family members who met the criteria established by the Award Committee. As many of you know, this program was born out of a desire to give back and nurture our next generation (post-high school) in a way that encourages them to continue their educational endeavors. Congratulation to our first recipients.
The recipients of the first Royes Family
Scholarship sponsored by Philip and Delores Royes are (L to R) Jessica Simmons,
Melissa Williams, Marissa Williams, and JodiKay Royes. All of the
recipients truly appreciate the kindness and generosity of Philip
and Delores for making this possible.
Below is a testimonial from JodiKay that reflects her appreciation and clearly sends a message that the Royes Family Scholarship program makes a difference!
Dear Royes family. I am writing to thank you for your generous Royes Family Scholarship. I was elated and appreciative to learn that I was selected as a recipient of your scholarship. As a Management Studies student at the University of the West Indies, I plan to pursue a career in marketing and hope to later own my business. Thanks to you, I am one step closer to achieving that goal. By awarding me the Royes Family Scholarship, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school, learning. I hope one day I will be able to help students and other family members achieve their goals just as you have helped me.
